Well, nearly anyway. It’s a viral video that shows a Wipeout 2048 racer backing into a parking space outside what looks like Sony Liverpool’s offices. Turns out those things have quite a tight turning circle backwards, plus there’s no chance of getting boxed in.
We just looked up Coulrophobia on Wikipedia – it means ‘fear of clowns.’ If you’re a sufferer, then you’re going to want to duck behind the sofa for Access TV s Game of the Week, because it features a clown with a head of fire, a heart of murder, and a face of ‘oh-dear-lord-that’s-horrifying.’ The game is Twisted Metal, so check it out if you’re a fan of unadulterated automotive mayhem.
During the recent PS Vita launch we had the chance to speak to Wipeout’s lead designer Karl Jones. We chat to Karl Jones, Lead Designer on Wipeout 2048 to find out more about the latest instalment of the future racer. Here he explains the new features added to the game such as distinct ship classes, how the game takes advantage of the PS Vita’s new control options and, most interestingly, how the game isn’t finished. Wipeout is a PlayStation classic. From the PS1 original that introduced the concept of classy grown up gaming, to this latest instalment – it’s been consistently fast, exciting and part of Sony’s lifeblood.
