The Uncharted 3 trophies are out and there are some weird ones in there: awards for hitting people with a fish? Killing twenty enemies while swimming? As well as the odd ones there are the series’ staples of collecting treasures and killing a set number of enemies with certain guns. It’s completely spoiler free too so dive in.

In the second of our interviews with Uncharted 3 game director Justin Richmond, he talks about all the technical things happening in Drake’s Deception. He mentions the new melee system, the new streaming animation and the sheer complexity of making something like the Cruise Liner level. It’s fascinating stuff so get stuck in.

A post over at GameFAQ translates a story from French gaming site jeuxvideo.com claiming that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is already out in France. Apparently the date was moved to October 28th to avoid a clash with a national holiday but some shops have already started selling the game. The biggest problem here is, A) I don’t live in France and, B) Oh God, potential spoilers ahoy. You have been warned!

It’s a TV spot and it is all kinds of exciting. Punching! Exploding! Horses!? It’s up to you if you want to watch it, what with spoilers and all that, but it’s exciting and there’s nothing in there that you won’t have seen one way or another already. Unless you’ve been on an extreme media black out that is.

The sand! You finally get to see the sand! Naughty Dog kept going on about it, looks… sandy. There’s five minutes of footage here that sees Drake stumbling on a dusty old town in the middle of a desert. Needless to say it’s slightly spoilery, nothing ruinous but it does show off a level opening, fresh location and some ace new combat moves. Click at your peril.
