PS4 will finally get wireless headset compatibility today with system update 1.60. That includes Pulse headsets and the newly announced Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 for PS4 (previously leaked as the “Sony Gold Wireless Stereo Headset”).

A new PS4 system update, number 1.52, is due soon with Sony promising more improvements to “system software stability”. The heads up has come from a US Tweet so expect it to deploy there first and then pop up here a few days later.

We haven’t even got the thing yet and it’s on a second update. Eric Lempel, Sony’s Sony Network Entertainment VP announced another PS4 system software update yesterday, calling 1.51 a “minor required update” for PlayStation 4. It certainly doesn’t seem to do anything beyond slight tweakage.

Sony has announced a full features list for PS4′s first system software update. The 1.50 patch is around 300MB and will be available at launch. It’ll add the following: Remote Play, second screen, record & upload gameplay, play as you download, multi log-in, party chat, face recognition/voice commands, background music player, online multiplayer and Blu-ray/DVD player. Suspend/resume mode will not be avililbe at launch.
