Crikey, that’s a lot to take in early in the day. Unsettling VHS distortion, RGB splits, beating mean to death with doors… I need another fruity tea. Hotline Miami 2 is out on PS3 and PS4 this autumn, and though there are plenty of surface similarities to its storied predecessor this trailer also showcases some new content. Dual uzi-wielding and chainsaw kills being the most eye-catching.

It appears Resogun studio Housemarque is on a mission to top the success of its last project. The dev’s Twitter account teased a new game – or possibly a new, improved edition of Resogun itself – that’l make the voxel-based PS4 smash hit obsolete.

Bound By Flame might have slipped through the cracks to most people among the big hitters due later this year on PS4, but nontheless it would like you to know that it’s a PS4 RPG due for release on May 9th. Here you can see some of its combat in action, which looks like it owes a lot to Rocksteady’s slow-mo counter system but lacks the same level of refinement and fluidity.
