South Park co-writer Matt Stone has addressed censorship in various territories including Australia and here in the UK of South Park: The Stick Of Truth. Stone claims it demonstrates a “double standard” of censorship in TV and videogames, but concedes “There is an interactiveness [in videogames] that makes it different.”

The Last Of Us is getting the big-scree treatment via Screen Gems, who brought you the Resident Evil movies. (Yeah, cheers for those, Screen Gems.) It’s being produced by, among others, Spiderman trilogy and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi, with a screenplay written by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, the creative director and writer of the movie’s videogame source material.

Fans have been asking for it since Dark Souls II was announced for PS3, but a next-gen version of the anticipated adventure/sadism odyssey isn’t something that From Software has given any thought, says co-director Yui Tanimura. Speaking to Edge, Tanimura said “We have not put any thought into this yet, so I unfortunately can’t answer at this point.”

Early sales figures for Gran Turismo 6 suggest that it’s selling at a much slower rate than series predecessor Gran Turismo 5. In just over a month since release, sales figure tracker VGChartz reports a total of 2,077,064 units sold globally – compared to GT5′s 5,066,169 units sold between November 27th and December 25th 2010.

Is… is it Halloween already? Wow, it’s true what they say about time passing quicker as you get older. Let’s get on with it then: the latest DLC pack for Call Of Duty Ghosts seems to have been borne of horror movie marathons. Entitled ‘Onslaught’, it adds a new cabin-in-the-woods-type map called Fog and a mode that literally lets you become Michael Myers and plays the Halloween movie piano score while you stagger around with an axe, breathing heavily and presumably wondering what the hell’s going on. In other words, it looks fantastic.

News of Minecraft’s PlayStation debut has been pretty thin on the ground until today, when Scottish dev 4J Studios took to Twitter and announced that the PS3 version is nearing its testing phase. It also stated there’s no ETA yet for the PS4 version, which had previously been rumoured to be a launch title.
