Although the next Metal Gear game is going to be all about Raiden and his search for retributionation, there’s still plenty of Solid Snake to go around. As well as the PS3 HD collection, incorporating MGS2, 3 and Peace Walker, we now have a similar package for play on the move. This Vita bundle contains Sons Of Liberty and Snake Eater, as well as the original MSX Metal Gear games, the first of which came out a whopping 25 years ago.

We’d bet the nuclear robot-guarded farm Metal Gear Solid 5 is now in the pipeline, after Hideo Kojima’s tweets and recent Kojima Productions’ job listings for a new ‘MGS targeted at high-end consoles’. So with Snake seemingly set to return to PS3 in the not too distant future, we’ve complied a list (made from equal parts speculation and Gear-obsessed wishful thinking)…

“You there, boy! What day is this,” asked the crotchety, excitable old games journalist. “Today? Why, ’tis Christmas Day, sir,” replied a plucky young street urchin by the name of Hideo Kojima. While it might not actually be a brisk, presents-opening morn in December, it sure feels that way, after Kojima Productions seemingly confirmed Metal Gear Solid 5 through a job listing last night.
