The moment Big Boss and Old Snake put two decades of bad blood behind them over a fateful, distinctly final cigar puff is perhaps PS3’s most emotional moment. Ambiguous, reflective, redemptive; the father and cloned ‘son’ share a cathartic goodbye that puts a full stop on a series obsessed with philosophising, 007 references and arse gags.

Konami has cleared up the confusion around Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition’s PS3 exclusivity, after New Zealand retailer Mightyape listed the game on Xbox 360 – turns out, it’s a PS3 exclusive after all.

MGS4 trophies are now available via a patch which has apparently just gone live. There are 34 in total, 8 bronze, 8 silver, 3 gold, 15 secrets and the platinum. Here’s the full list.
