Hitman developer IO Interactive released a letter to fans on its site detailing its PS4 Hitman project. It’ll be a triple-A title featuring Agent 47 (but of course), which “adopts an open, non-linear level design approach”. Also: Contracts Mode is back. Well, these are all positive noises.

Jason Bourne, Léon (the French dude, not our associate ed), Tom Cruise in Collateral: fiction is dotted with hardass professional peoplewhackers. Regardless of their touching relationships with potted plants or love of outrunning rozzers in a Mini, though, not one of said murderers can hold a homicidal candle to IO’s chrome-domed killer. After all, real hitmen use roast chickens to off their targets.

Square Enix have finally officially acknowledged the existence of the Hitman HD trilogy bundling together all the old PS2 games and giving them a high def buff up. So that’s Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. It’ll be released on February 1st.

Hitman: Absolution director Tore Blystad has shed a little light on the next installment for the franchise. Talking about how 47′s next adventure is being developed by Square Enix Montreal instead of IO, Blystad said, “It’s the first time you could say Hitman has gone out of the house”.

So what do you do? There’s a low level hood needs offing and the choices are: pop a bullet in the back of his head, blow up his car, poison his food, push him down a hole, drop a pallet of bricks on him, snipe from a distance… Or kill his dealer steal the clothes and take his place to meet the mark and silently garrote him when he turns his back?

Brilliantly there are 47 Hitman: Absolution trophies in total. 14 bronze, 11 silver, 1 gold, the platinum and 20 spoiler free secret ones.
