Call of duty ghosts PS4 review

Call of Duty might still be one of the biggest games in all existence but there’s a cloud looming. Sales maintain their stratospheric numbers but have failed to reach peaks set by previous games, Black Ops in particular. Worse still there seems to be a growing resentment from gamers rebelling against it’s mainstream domination. So what can Activision do? Ride it out or reinvent its shooty cash cow. Here’s Team OPM to debate the options they think will work best for COD’s future.

Guy Longworth, the SVP of PlayStation brand marketing has outed a release date for Call of Duty on the PS Vita in a recent interview saying, “For my boys who are 14 and 15, they love the first first person shooters so they’re really enjoying Unit 13 right now. And of course, in the Autumn, they’re really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita”. If he let it slip by accident he’s…

Black Ops Golden Joysticks 2011

Well, obviously. Of course it is. However, Fusible have discovered that has recently been bought up by Activision. According to their detective work the company went on a spending spree in August to buy up multiple sequel-friendly Call Of Duty Black Ops domains but wasn’t identified as one of them. Until now. The domain existed, having first been registered in May 2010, but remained private.  (Check out our PS3 Call Of Duty Black…

Respawn PS3 new game

And when we say ‘tease’, we mean it. Call of Duty next gen PS4

A keen eyed observer over at Gamespot has noticed a job posting at Treyach that talks about “bringing our hugely successful game to a new console”. The already announced PS Vita version seems a possibility although mention of a need to “adapt graphics and other major systems in our engine to a new platform” and a requirement for “2 years experience working on Xbox 360 or PS3″ sound more ambitious…

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Collectively, Black Ops players have run around the world 7,884 times, played the game for 4,514 years and fired more than 57 billion bullets. And that’s in a fortnight. If you were in any doubt as to the brain-frazzling enormity of the multiplayer, these stats will hit you like a mortar shell to the face.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops

Right, let’s start with the two obvious questions. Firstly: yes, this is a better game than Modern Warfare 2. It beats it on both the single and multiplayer fronts, and as such it is the best shooter that you can buy on PS3. And so the second question raises its head (because we know you’ve already skipped ahead to see the score): why a 9 and not a 10?
