Lightbulb What have games taught you?

As someone who has grown up with games and has been playing them since I can remember, I'm curious if other people feel games have taught them anything useful in life.

The fact is television and music are very different, as games generally require constant input and attention or not much is going to happen. They're not something you can just put on in the background, thinking is often required! So, anything learnt, or just some fun to pass the time? It clearly depends on what type of games you like to play so there could be some very different thoughts on this.

I think it may have taught me how to survive in certain situations such as...zombie apocalypse. Them Dead Rising 2 combo cards are gonna come in useful!

I think games have taught me to be more creative, the stories that come about purely because of video games is incredible! I hope one day I come up with such an idea for a story. I'd love that.

Games have thought me one simple rule about life.

1) Friends
2) Family
3) Religion

These are the 3 demons you must slay in order to be a hardcore gamer.

Games have taught me that I stand a good chance of winning a shootout if I have at least one wall to hide behind for a few seconds. Similarly, I've also been taught that it doesn't matter how small your bag is, you WILL be able to carry a pistol, a shotgun, an assault rifle, a medipack and at least two grenades in it.

Actual IRL tip right here.
Snake taught me that going on your tippy-toes makes you louder than when you spread your weight through your feet and knees.
