Michael Denny on the PS Vita’s UK launch, Japanese sales and Sony’s multiplatform future

We spoke to Michael Denny, the vice president of Sony Worldwide Studios Europe, at last night’s PS Vita launch. We discussed how he felt about the console finally arriving in Europe, his thoughts on the Japanese sales stories and how the PS3 and PS Vita combined to create a “PlayStation ecosystem” that, in the future, could include “non-Sony devices”.

‘I want action!’…sang 80′s rockers and hairspray enthusiasts Poison, and their words are as true today as they were in 1933 when the song was first recorded. After all, who doesn’t want action? You will, when PS Vita arrives on  22 Feb. Especially after reading our ultra-happy-fun-time PS Vita action launch title roundup – featuring Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Dynasty Warriors Next, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Shinobido 2 and, of course, Uncharted Golden Abyss.

Wow, it’s really not long now until PS Vita launches in the UK – February 22nd, in fact. As that date races towards us, let’s check out the Vita’s racing games lineup at launch. From sim to arcade, drifting to precision braking, F1 cars to hover-racers, the launch titles have racing pretty well covered.

It’s that time of the week when we condense gaming down into its purest, gleaming nuggets of 140 character-driven news. In this edition of our Twitter round up we have musings on the Mass Effect 3 demo, plus one of BioWare’s devs getting his ass handed to him in Commander Shepard’s multiplayer.

There’s also some love for Uncharted: Golden Abyss and PS Vita, a real world location that could have been plucked straight from Deus Ex: Human Revolution and a The Last Of Us interview.
