As a clutch of PS2 games landed on PSN last week we lost ourselves in misty eyed reminisces about the good times we had with our old boxy friend.  But because we’re never satisfied with anything that we’ve been given we’ve decided to whip up a list of PS2 games we’d like to see given the full treatment and brought over to the PS3. Obviously we’re skipping anything that’s already had or is having a HD makeover (sorry Snake) but there’s still a wealth of talent in them there vaults.

In this week’s Twitter round up we have Hideo Kojima showing off robots that look like they could have been plucked straight from the upcoming Zone Of The Enders HD remake, Uncharted 3 related info on the StarHawk beta and some delightful fantasy Valentines cards that made us briefly forget about the Skyrim PS3 lag debacle for all of 14 seconds.

Christ, Limbo was hard wasn’t it? Ruinously, ‘this games hates baby Jesus’ kind of spikes that made it a largely unpleasant experience after the first couple of hours. But, before it got to that stage, it was glorious – an atmospheric and creepy fairytale gone wrong. And, in the spider, it had the perfect villain. A faceless embodiment of malevolence that made the game opening moments unforgettable. 

The Darkness 2 – Meet The Brotherhood (i.e. the evil dudes you’ll spend all game eviscerating)

In the original it was all about disemboweling Average Joe Wise Guy. But in The Darkness II, mob boss Jackie Estacado and his evil tentacle masters are pitted against an ancient order known as The Brotherhood.

Looks like Resistance 3′s multiplayer is about to get a bit more tactical. The new Survivor Pack DLC which hit the PlayStation Store today adds a new ‘Invasion’ multiplayer mode, along with a host of skins and bonus concept art, priced at £3.19.
