The Last Of Us on PS4 60fps, Bungie redoing Destiny lines and Rockstar boss buys a church! – PlayStation round up
In (on?) today’s PlayStation round up… quotes about The Last Of Us running at 60fps on PS4 and how such a feat is “transformative”! Bungie rerecording some of Peter Dinklage’s Destiny lines (may we point to MoonWizard.com?)! And Rockstar North’s Leslie Benzies buys God’s house in Edinburgh!
PlayStation round up
- It seems Naughty Dog has finally confirmed all our fevered framerate dreams: The Last Of Us: Remastered on PS4 runs at 60fps according to tweets from the Santa Monica-based studio. Kurt Margenau, a designer on Uncharted 4 wrote: “Played some #TLOU at 60 fps tonight for the first time (60fps cutscenes and all). Transformitive. I’m a believer. Don’t think I can go back.” Just imagine redoing that horse chase at 60fps. IMAGINE IT.
- Hmmm, it would appear that the Moon Wizard is from the Moon. How delightful. It seems as if Bungie has already got Peter Dinklage back into the recording booth to redo some of the now infamous line readings from Destiny’s PS4 Alpha. A post on Bungie’s official site confirms: “The Ghost dialog has already been updated for Beta”, so there’s something for all you alien magic men haters.
- If you were in any doubt to just how well Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold, well, may we point you in the direction of Rockstar North’s Leslie Benzies who has just bought a house in Edinburgh. We hear next Sunday’s mass will be live streaming the first PS4 footage of GTA 5. Oh what wags, we are. If anyone’s interested, St Stephen’s Church is about ten minutes walk from my house. What a day.
