New-gen balls from Pure Pool, Gran Turismo 7 news and The Last of Us PS4 bundle confirmed – PlayStation round up

Yes, I’ve gone with a picture of Pure Pool instead of those other much higher profile Sony games listed in the title to illustrate this article. Just try to put me in a box.

PlayStation round up

  • Pool is one of those activities that falls dangerously near the “Why not just go and do it for real” area of the Venn diagram between games and real life. However: Pure Pool looks really pretty, and it’s all socially connected and stuff. Check out the trailer:

  • Polyphony’s Kaz Yamauchi has spoken briefly about Gran Turismo 7 to journalists at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The cliffnotes: it probably won’t be out this year (pick up that jaw from the floor) and the standard cars are going nowhere: ”We are working on the title,” he told Eurogamer. “I don’t think it’ll make this year,” and “I don’t think it’ll be a Prologue.” Also: ”I doubt that we’ll be throwing away the standard cars.”
  • And as many have been anticipating since The Last of Us: Remastered was announced, there’ll be a PS4 bundle including the game, priced at £374.99. It’s available for pre-order now, and the game’s out on July 29th.
