I know what you’re thinking: these are bullshots. Having seen Batman Arkham Knight in action however I can clarify this is what I saw. I won’t tell you what I said when I realised director Sefton Hill was actually playing the game and it wasn’t a cut scene but it involved bad words.
The ‘third game in Rocksteady‘s trilogy’, the studio neatly sidestepping Warner Montreal’s Origins, sees Batman apparently at the height of his powers and dealing with a city-wide evacuation following a Scarecrow attack threat. The big new feature this time around is the drivable Batmobile. The streets have been widened in-game to accommodate it and plus Bat’s tackling similarly mobile goons in what looks a lot like Burnout with missiles. This is a good thing.
The Arkham Knight is the ‘Batman with a gun’ style character you see here and while his origins and motives are unknown (he’s a custom character created specifically by Rocksteady) the demo I saw apparently finishes with him executing Batman with a shot to the head.
