Naughty Dog considering The Last Of Us 2

Naughty Dog’s creative director Neil Druckman has revealed in a recent interview that The Last Of Us developer’s considering both a sequel to 2013′s magnificent post-apocalyptic adventure, and a new IP. Left Behind, The Last Of Us’ only slice of single-player DLC, will be released on February 14th (to the chagrin of other halves across Europe), leaving those not working on Uncharted 4 to ponder new projects.

The Last Of Us on PS4? “We’ll see what the future brings!” say Naughty Dog

“We have started brainstorming some stuff. To be honest, some of them are sequel ideas, and some of them are brand new IP – we’ve spent the last few weeks brainstorming new IP”, Druckman told Eurogamer.

“So we have to get some good steps and see… It’s kind of like how we approached Left Behind. Can we tell people a story that’s really worth telling, and that’s not repeating itself? And if we can’t, where can we get inspired – what is something that’s really going to challenge us, and push storytelling in this medium forward?”

Druckman also made more encouraging noises about the possibility of The Last Of Us on PS4: ”It’s something where we can have a feel of where the demand is, and where our time is best spent. It’s something that we’ll figure out as we move forward.”
