The console, known as PS Vita 2000 when it was announced in Japan has a redesigned body and LCD screen making it 15% lighter and 20% slimmer. The new screen also boosts battery life promising up to 6 hours of gameplay, 12 hours of music and 9 hours of video playback. There’s also 1 GB of internal memory for a “much better out-of-the-box experience”.
Remote Play with PS4 is still a big focus for Vita and according to Sony UK MD Fergal Gara “Our own internal research shows that the reason we got the Vita sales we did this Christmas is because of PS4 and its relationship through Remote Play.”
