Driveclub “early 2014″ release date could be soon going by this ERSB rating
It looks like delayed PS4 racer Driveclub could be coming out fairly soon after being rated by the ERSB. That’s obviously not a cast iron guarantee but it’s a fairly good sign that Sony is in the last stages of release plans.
More on Driveclub
The ‘E for everyone’ rating describes Driveclub as “a racing simulation game in which players drive real world cars around international race tracks. Players can compete in variety of race series, time trials, and drift challenges”. So, no surprises there.
Driveclub was originally the free PS Plus game for PS4′s launch
There is mention that it, “Includes online features that may expose players to unrated user-generated content”. Presumably that’s related to the social side of things – clan and race creation for example.
Originally a launch title, Driveclub was delayed in October. Sony stated the date was pushed back to “realize the next-gen racing vision”. News of the delay came directly from Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida who added, “Driveclub is a really ambitious racing title and the game is looking stunning. The extra time we’re giving the team means the visuals and overall experience are only going to get better. We can assure you that it will be worth the wait.”
There’s still no word on whether it will still be a free game on PS Plus as was originally intended at launch.
