Tonight’s PSN maintinance will increase the number of PS Vita’s you can activate on your account
Today’s PSN maintenance will apparently increase the number of PSP’s and PS Vita‘s you can activate on your account according to a Forum post from Sony. “Other network improvements” are mentioned but unspecified.
PSN maintinance to increase number activated devices
Here’s the statement from PlayStation community manager Tempest_Fire:
“This maintenance will increase the number of devices that can be activated by an account as a portable gaming device. This means that you can now activate up to three portable gaming devices (PSP (PlayStation Portable) and PlayStation Vita) on your SEN account. This new portable gaming device allotment is in addition to the other network improvements being implemented during this downtime.
If you’ve signed onto the network over the past few days, you’ll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management as these services will be unavailable. Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the network during this maintenance window.”
