Guerrilla Cambridge has announced a trio of patches to free up some space on your memory card after those massive Killzone Mercenary 1GB updates. There’s also balancing and improvements to the online game on the way and two free multiplayer maps.
Killzone Mercenary patch size reduced & free multiplayer maps
Here’s a breakdown of what the new Killzone Mercenary content brings from SCEE senior producer Mark Green:
- Update 3 - In terms of functionality there will only be minimal changes but this is the patch that reduces the size of the other patches! After installing this patch it will free up around 800MB of space for those who have already installed Updates 1 and 2. Update 3 should be ready in the next few weeks.
- Update 4 – Due in January and designed to improve Matching and to help reduce join-game connectivity problems, as well as adding an auto team-rebalancing feature.
- Update 5 – Includes two new MP maps for FREE; and the release of offline Botzone for Mercenary and Guerrilla Warfare modes (price TBC).
Finally there’s also a sixth update planned to add more refinements and add Vita TV “only applicable to territories where Vita TV is available”.
