PS4 sells over a million consoles in 24 hours, beating PS2′s 980,000 Japanese launch record
Sony has announced PS4 has sold over a million units in 24 hours following its US launch. That beats the PS2′s previous record of 980, 000 consoles during the Japanese launch. Sony currently predict five million sales by April, something that might be possible considering the PS4 launches in UK and Europe November 29th.
Obviously all the Sony bosses are very happy. In a statement Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House said, “PS4 was designed with an unwavering commitment to gamers, and we are thrilled that consumer reaction has been so phenomenal”. Possibly while going gangnam style over his desk.
