Telltale Games has announced The Walking Dead Season Two with a release date of, “later this year”. The episodic sequel stars Clementine as, “a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad”.
The press release so far only mentions “home consoles” so no word on whether it’s PS3 or PS4 or both. Telltale has previously spoken about how The Walking Dead Season Two will carry over old saves on PS4 so you should be able to continue where you left off. The FAQ for the game also mentions that your actions in The Walking Dead: 400 Days will, “affect some elements of Season Two”, although if you haven’t played it, “elements that would have been affected will be seamlessly pre-determined by the game”. There will be five episodes in total.
Clementine is now the playable character with the press release stating, “assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions”. As far as gameplay Telltale say there will be, “some changes based on player feedback to Season One and advances in game design” but that otherwise the “experience will be familiar”.
