GTA Online’s $500,000 coming “when issues fixed”, heist & content creator info “next week”
Rockstar have stated that GTA Online’s $500,000 payouts will come when all character-deleting issues are fixed. It’s sweetened the deal with a news that the first heist and content creator info is coming next week.
As an apology for recent GTA Online technical issues Rockstar said it would be paying out a $500,000 Stimulus Package of in-game cash into any players bank accounts who played GTA Online at any time during the month of October 2013. The cash-drop will come in two separate deposits of $250,000 in a bid to keep the in-game economy balanced.
Whilst Rockstar gave an indication that the apologetic bags of cash could come as soon as next week, they’ve stated in a comment on GTA Online’s patches that the Stimulus Package will drop as soon as “any loss of player progress issues are completely fixed” which’ll hopefully be very soon but isn’t necessarily next week.
It also mentioned it was, “continuing to regularly balance the dynamic in-game economy and whenever we discover that there are unintended loopholes that some players are exploiting to grind cash or RP, you can expect that we will be adjusting or closing them”. Confirming the recent discovery that a previous GTA Online update had reduced mission payouts.
Alongside the Stimulus Package, Rockstar also went on to tease us all with news of upcoming content including ‘The Beach Bum Pack’ a Content Creator and most excitingly, the Heists with more info on each also due next week.
