21 Niko Bellic was based on Vladimir Mashkov’s character from the film Behind Enemy Lines. According to an interview on a Russian talk show, Mashkov was actually offered the chance to voice the character himself but turned it down.
22 In the GTA 4 mission Three Leaf Clover, it’s possible to kill Luis – star of The Ballad Of Gay Tony. He’s lying on the floor with the other hostages, recognisable by his black-and-white baseball jacket. Doing so won’t have any effect on the story.
23 The appearance and mannerisms of Grove Street gang member Ryder in San Andreas is based on late NWA rapper Eazy E. His San Andreas hat is an homage to the similar Compton hat made famous by the controversial hip-hop group.
24 While Luis and Niko put on helmets if you leave them idle on a motorcycle, Johnny Klebitz – star of The Lost And Damned – never does. This reflects his personality as an outlaw biker, who probably wouldn’t be seen dead wearing a helmet.
