If you watched Evolution studio director Matt Southern explaining Driveclub at the PS4 reveal, you’ll know just how downright fetishistic this man is about perfectly recreating the game’s roster of supercars. Everything’s been molded in ridiculous, dad-level detail: the carbon fibre weave, the construction of the headlights, the stitching in the seats – like he’s preparing madly for some imagined digital MOT. All that makes Driveclub perfect for VR and Evolution are allegedly working with the Oculus rift-style visor. Imagine stepping into the car, checking the seat-belt, petrol, mirrors and everything without even touching the controller. And then blasting into a tree because you were distracted by the fidelity of the radio tuner.
