While the world tries to piece together exactly what that Vision Gran Turismo video was actually about from Sony’s Gamescom conference, new screens have emerged for Gran Turismo 6. In addition to revealing the Brands Hatch circuit’s addition, these shots show off some new additions to the great Polyphony garage, track evolution under different lighting conditions and players that are, without exception, named after wine grapes. Quite.
It’s a decent haul for us British GT fans in the next instalment: not only is Silverstone making its digital debut to the series, but Brands Hatch also finds itself rubbing shoulders with the likes of Apricot Hill and, inevitably, Grand Valley Speedway.
As for the car selection, it’s likely to be dominated by slight variations on Japanese stalwarts, but there are at least a few more vintage Europeans on show. So while the haters prepare their “this is the same as Gran Turismo 5 ahahahaha!” speeches, see if you can pinpoint the make and model of this esoteric automotive selection.
Gran Turismo 6 got a confirmed release date at the Sony Conference at Gamescom: It’s December 6th 2013.
