FIFA 14 on PS4: Living Worlds makes next-gen footy more authentic than ever before. Also, interact with ball boys. Yay?
EA Canada’s David Rutter revealed new details on FIFA 14 for PS4 at Gamescom earlier this afternoon. The executive producer of the footy goliath briefly lifted the lid on Living Worlds, a next-gen only feature that supposedly makes the PS4 version much more authentic that what you can play on PS3.
FIFA 14 PS4
Essentially, it looks to recreate the atmosphere of real football to create an unprecedented atmosphere for a football game. As such, crowds will look and sound more realistic than ever before thanks to Living Worlds. There will also be 100 in-game cameras placed around the edges of the pitch which give you a huge wealth of replay angles after you pop one in the onion bag.
Players will even be able to interact with ball boys when the pig’s bladder goes out of play. No courting the Eden Hazard side of The Force now.
As David Rutter has previously told us in an exclusive pre-E3 interview, Living Worlds looks to mimic the real-life stories that football creates from week to week. Expect Sky Sports-style commentary and coverage between games to give you a sense of progressing narratives during your Manager Mode career.
We’re betting Monsieur Wenger doesn’t make it to September in FIFA 14′s career mode at this rate.
FIFA 14 Ultimate Team will also feature Legends, with players able to sign over 40 classic players into their contemporary sides, including the likes of Pele, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira.
