Sony to “keep stuff back” for Gamescom, will reveal new PS4 games at the Cologne show

SCEE president and CEO Jim Ryan has confirmed that Sony’s been holding back on revealing the full PS4 games lineup, and will be showing more new titles at Gamescom this August.

New PS4 games to be revealed at Gamescom

Speaking to Gamereactor, Ryan confirmed Sony’s strategy to drip-feed the full PS4 lineup over the span of the PS4 reveal, E3 2013, and Gamescom:

“There’s a lot coming. I’m sure you heard from Shu [Yoshida] that he has, just his studios, he has 30 games in development. 20 are going to ship within the console’s first year of life, and of those 12 are new IPs… There’s a lot going on, it’s just we need to keep stuff back. We’ve Gamescom for us Europeans, and we need to have something to show at Gamescom don’t we?!”
