PS4 always online not even considered as option say Shuhei Yoshida
Shuhei Yoshida has said Sony “didn’t even consider” an always online connection for PS4. The reason being the variation in quality of internet connections around the world.
PS4 always online not considered
Speaking to GI (via CVG), Yoshida said, ”It makes sense for people to have internet connections to play online games, but for offline games there are many countries that we saw do not really have robust internet… We didn’t even consider that.” He clarified by adding, ”Did we consider it [always-online]? No, we didn’t consider it. The main reason being that many countries don’t have robust internet connections”.
That seems like good news considering the recent furore surrounding issue of always on games. One prominent culprit was Diablo 3‘s ‘Error 37′ and issue that’s been addressed for the PS3 version by removing the in-game auction house the previously required a constant internet connection to validate purchases.
