Fallout 4: our sequel wishlist – better guns, grey morals & less bugs

Keep it morally grey

In Fallout 3, the karma system kept things pretty black and white. Sure, there were ambiguous bits in between being good, neutral and evil, but it wasn’t until New Vegas came long with its brilliant level of morally grey areas that Fallout proved the importance of choice. The faction system is vital to the ambiguity, and in order to keep the Wasteland suitably ‘grey’, Fallout 4’s factions need to offer the same grey levels of choice that don’t necessarily fit into a karmic bracket that you could put a title on. It’s the post apocalyptic wasteland, for Pete’s sake, who knows what’s good or bad anymore.
