Does Gran Turismo 5 DLC hint at GT 6′s tracklist?
[Update: looks like GT 6 will be released on PS3, according to a Sony boss.]
Eagle-eyed fans have identified two new tracks teased in recent GT5 DLC reveals. The options suggested are unannounced track DLC or possibly an early glimpse at Gran Turismo 6 circuits.
GT 6 tracks in latest Gran Turismo 5 DLC?
The two tracks are Willow Springs International Raceway in California used to show off the addition of a 2014 Corvette Stingray to the game. The new Acura NSX Concept trailer however has even more, with both the Seattle Circuit and Apricot Hill Raceway. These are a couple of popular GT series tracks that have, so far, skipped GT5. That footage also has a few new locations. The first has been identified as Tokyo’s Ginza District while the others, a tunnel and mountain area, have yet to be identified.
While new circuit DLC seems likely Gran Turismo 6 has been in development since Gran Turismo 5 shipped according creator Kazunori Yamauchi. Shuhei Yoshida also teased a GT 6 reveal saying info was going to be revealed ‘soon’ and that was back in August.
