XCOM: Enemy Unknown

If you’re going to save the world from green skinned extra terrestrials, you’re going to need a kick ass soundtrack to accompany you as you strut out into the ring. XCOM’s main theme sounds like the climactic sequence to a superhero movie, but it does the bloody job. Elsewhere it’s far more like a minimalist sci-fi soundscape, with Michel-Jarre synths galore. It’s also entirely reminiscent of Deus Ex Human Revolution’s soundtrack, but that’s because the same brilliant human, Michael McCann, composed both fabulous scores. Listen to XCOM whilst you’re busying yourself away at work, and watch your productivity levels rocket.
