Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition is PS3 exclusive, Konami confirms

Konami has cleared up the confusion around Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition’s PS3 exclusivity, after New Zealand retailer Mightyape listed the game on Xbox 360 – turns out, it’s a PS3 exclusive after all.

Metal Gear Solid 4 25th Anniversary Edition

Seems legit.

Mightyape’s Xbox 360 box art for MGS 4′s anniversary edition suggests the game will be a cross-platform affair, but its distinctly shopped-looking appearance, along with a statement from Konami that absolutely denies it clears the situation up somewhat.

“It’s a welcome return to the rumour,” Konami told Eurogamer. “But there are no plans to release Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360.”

So the MGS4 25th Anniversary Edition is a PS3 exclusive after all, and it brings trophy support to Guns Of The Patriots, giving you just enough time to platinum it before Kojima’s next offering, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, arrives.
