The Silver Case

Think Suda 51’s finest, zaniest hours have been recent bloodbaths like Shadows Of The Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw? Think again. The Silver Case is a murder mystery puzzle game with some inspired visual flourishes that – in-keeping with the No More Heroes maestro’s canon of quirk – went against the grain of the mainstream when it debuted in Japan in 1999. The unique, cinematic approach to cutscenes and the overall look of the game, is quite unlike anything before or since, playing out like one part animated graphic novel, one part text adventure.
