New Mass Effect 3 DLC teased in Extended Cut
Obviously massive spoilers if you continue reading but fragments of script hidden in Mass Effect 3′s Extended Cut DLC hint at a new adventure on the way.
The script contains several sections of dialogue referencing Leviathan, a rogue Reaper who’s controlling a mining facility and can be swayed to join the galactic war. One line reads: “If Leviathan is a defector–a Reaper that broke away from the others–then it is also a traitor.” Another says, “So we have Leviathan. I hope it stays on our side.” There were references to a Leviathan, an inactive Reaper, as far back as Mass Effect 1.
There’s also mention of a Doctor Ann Brynson, who you’re initially sent to rescue. According to dialogue options she can live or die as a result
<data>Too bad Ann never got to see her dad’s work pay off.</data>
- <data>At least Ann’s still around to see her dad’s work finally pay off.</data>
One line also seems to mention who, or what came before the Reapers: “So the Reapers did not fully exterminate their creators. That suggests they are fallible, even on large or long-term scales.”
