Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Mass Effect 3 – PlayStation Trophy news this week 21/03/12
This week in the world of PlayStation trophies, we sneak a look at the cups to be won in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, blast zombies for awards in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, plus we have a top tip for becoming Master and Commander in Mass Effect 3.
The big news
Teeing off next week, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 has a set of silverware featuring some tricky challenges, such as driving over 400 yards and sinking a hole in one. Conversely, there is also a silver trophy for ‘whiffing’ the ball and missing it completely – which apparently is harder than it sounds! New to the series, the Tiger Legacy Challenge sees you initially playing as a toddler, with further rewards later for completing online matches using your young character.
Out this week
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City breaks out this Friday, with awards that are best tackled by teaming up with friends in co-op mode. Make sure you pick your partners wisely, as you’ll need strong back up to complete all missions on Professional and get S+ ranking on all missions on Veteran or Professional difficulty. Should things go wrong however, there are also medals for killing 13 zombified teammates and dispatching an infected teammate with a headshot before they turn full zombie. It was the kindest thing to do…
Top trophy tip
To achieve the Master and Commander trophy in Mass Effect 3 you need to start the final conflict with an Effective Military Strength of 4000 or more. This level can be checked at any time using the terminal in the War Room, and is affected by both your Total Military Strength and Readiness Rating. Increase your Total Military Strength by completing as many side missions as you can, then hit the multiplayer to boost your Readiness Rating. Beating a random mission on bronze difficulty increases readiness in each area by 3%, repeat until your Effective Military Strength exceeds 4000 then initiate the final battle to collect this prize.
