Mass Effect 3 demo heading to PS3 on Valentines day

Ohh, that’s awkward timing. We’re super-excited about BioWare’s next slice of blockbuster RPG pie, but does the Mass Effect 3 demo really have to hit the UK PSN on 14 February? It’s going to be a dark day for significant others across the board. But then, who’s going to save the galaxy – Shepard, or your girlfriend? Priorities, people. More details after the click.
The PS3 demo will let you play through Mass Effect 3‘s opening Reaper assault on Earth, and will give you first hand experience of ME3′s fresh combat and movement controls.
Another first for the Mass Effect series – multiplayer – will also be made available on 17 February, although if you have a Battlefield 3 season pass you’ll get access to the multiplayer part of the demo right away on 14 Feb.
Executive producer Casey Hudson commented that he’s “excited” to finally show off ” an expansive demo that will put [gamers] right on the front lines of this all-out galactic war.”
Wondering about the full game’s release date? Mass Effect 3 will be available in its galactic entirity on 9 March.
