Max Payne 3 release date delayed
If you’ve spent any time with Max Payne, you’ll know he’s got a lot on his plate. Thugs to kill, faceless corporations to take down, families to avenge… all in a New York minute. With that in mind, you can forgive the troubled cop for slipping on his original March release date, can’t you? No? Well, the new release schedule has Max Payne 3 penned in for a return on 18 May.
Rockstar has a history of delaying games until they’re ship-shape (remember the LA Noire and Red Dead delays?) and while that spells bad news financially for parent companyTake Two who expect to make a loss in FY2012, for the humble PS3 gamer it should only indicate a more polished and refined game.
Despite the gloomy financial outlook, Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick remained upbeat about the game: “We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company.”
