COD devs tease new game
And when we say ‘tease’, we mean it. The blurry image that Respawn Entertainment (started by Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella) recently put on their site could be showing literally anything. Shooter, RPG, north atlantic fishing sim… going on West and Zampella’s previous works, we’re going with shooter.
Below the image on Respawn’s official site, the studio confirms it’s “developing a multi-platform product based on new video game IP and funded through its publishing deal with Electronic Arts” whcih keeps the vague train a-rollin.’
West and Zampella were fired from Infinity Ward for “breaches of contract and insubordination” having headed the studio while it produced Call Of Duty 1, COD 2, COD 4: Modern Warfare, and Call Of Duty: Classic.
It’s one of the most impressive portfolios in the industry, which means it’s probably worth getting at least vaguely intruiged by this screen, however blurry. After all, 38 ex-Infinty Ward devs now work for Respawn. We’ll keep you posted…
