Gran Turismo 5 – more DLC announced
That’s right, even more cars for Gran Turismo 5, the game that already boasts a bigger garage than any west coast hiphop artist. Following on from October’s bumper pack of cars, tracks, paints and driver gear, this new chunk of DLC will add four more vehicles when it hits the UK PSN on December 21st, priced at £3.99.
Ready for the good news? No skylines! Thank crikey. Here’s the lineup of cars:
2012 Nissan GT-R Black edition R35
2011 MINI COOPER S
2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R
2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R
Hot hatch-tastic then, as a prevailing theme. Although the GT-R R35 does stick out like a lightning-fast thumb. Just as with the previous DLC release this one coincides with a functionality update, version 2.02 bringing customisable wheels for standard cars, a copy feature for settings sheets and free tickets for GT auto services to the party.
You’ll be able to see how things like oil changes and chassis rebuilds actually affect your vehicle numerically, as in previous GTs. Plus, when you install the free update you’ll be gifted a Toyota FT86 ’12 (pictured).
This is getting complicated now, but if you install the 2.02 update and bought any of the previous DLC, you’ll get a free Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 SP, too.
We’ve enjoyed the ‘handful of DLC, handful of free stuff’ model so far – long may it continue.
