Project Ogre to be “a subdued experience” says Kojima. “Might be other projects on”.
If you follow Hideo Kojima’s Twitter feed at all you often hear him talking about the top secret ‘Project Ogre’. Usually during a working lunch because he hasn’t got time to fit meetings in anywhere else. So what is it? Well, while he’s not giving too much away Hideo Kojima did discuss a few details with Official PlayStation Magazine UK for next week’s Koj cover.
“I can’t really say too much about that project yet, but it’s a very subdued experience” explained Kojima. As for what kind of game it might actually be, he had this to say, “It’s a little bit different to what I’ve done up until now. On the surface it will look similar, but once you get into it, it will be a different experience – and I’m hoping people look forward to that”.
It’s not going to happening anytime soon, though. In fact you can expect several other Hideo Kojima games between now and the mystery project’s eventual debut. “The Ogre project is going to take a lot of time, so I want to produce some other things on the side, like I’m doing with Rising. So while I’m working on Ogre there might be a couple of other projects going on at the same time.” So does that mean Kojima’s got even more unannounced games on the go?
You can also find out what Hideo Kojima had to say about his plans for Metal Gear Solid 5, why he wanted to kill Snake in every Metal Gear game, why he’s still in control of Metal Gear Rising and why Rising might not be what Metal Gear Solid fans want.
