Skyrim can be finished in 2 hours (if you’re Bethesda)
Most of us are looking forward to spending life-ruining levels of time with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim when it’s released, but the game’s developer managed to blitz their way through in just 2 hours and 16 minutes at their traditional ‘speed run contest’.
That’s no indication that Skyrim is going to be as quick to complete for mere mortals; Sam Bernstein, who posted the winning time, is part of Bethesda’s QA team and knows every trick and exploit in the game.
The speed run competition itself was extremely tight, with just 20 seconds seperating Bernstein from second-placed Jeff Browne. Full coverage of the event, and numerous pictures of the Bandana-sporting victor can be found over at Bethesda’s blog.
Most of us will want to admire the game at a more leisurely pace of course (see these Skyrim screens for a teaser of how good it all looks) but that hasn’t stopped others trying to rinse through the series in record time. The winner has to be a speed runner named ‘Knu’ who managed to finish Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in just seven minutes.
