It’s that time of year again. Specifically E3, that magically insane moment when the entire games industry convenes in LA and ANNOUNCES EVERYTHING AT ONCE. There’s a sort of beautiful, chaotic madness to it all as every single PS3 publisher tries to grab your attention with flashy screenshots and loud trailers. But don’t worry, this month’s OPM is here to help you make sense of it all; sifting though the chaff and filtering out the big names.

Big names like Modern Warfare 3. Oh, you’ve heard of it? This issue we round up all the info from the recent mega leak – the locations, pictures, characters, and enemies – and collect it all together in one place for easy reading. We’ve left the spoilers out, though, so you needn’t worry about ruining the game. However, if you want to know where you’ll be shooting people and why, get involved.

Then there’s FIFA 12. Now I know slightly more about offshore deep sea drilling than I do football but I’m reliably told this is a huge move forwards for the series. Something to do with precision dribbling, tactical defending and the Player Impact Engine, which makes those foot-to-shin interactions play out with painful realism. We sent reviews ed Joel Gregory who fortunately knows  everything about football – out to EA Vancouver to see it.

We’ve also got a huge, behind the scenes look at Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. We went out to visit Naughty Dog and watch them ‘film’ the upcoming blockbuster. We even got to meet Nolan North, the voice of Drake himself, interview creative director Amy Hennig and wave a big blue prop RPG around. Find out about the game and our experience of the creative process in this brilliant feature.

We also review Infamous 2,  we also review Infamous 2, Sony’s sparky sequel. No spoilers but it’s pretty damn good, although you’ll need to read this to find out why…

There’s plenty more as well with previews of Tomb Raider, Dragon’s Dogma, Dead Island, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, among others. Other highlights include news on Warhawk follow up Starhawk, Mortal Kombat’s ridiculous Babalities and an interview with David Jaffe about Twisted Metal. Enjoy.

Don’t forget, you can talk to the team directly through our OPM Facebook page where we’ll feed you all the latest info, pics and videos as we get them. Plus we’ll answer questions and generally hang out on Twitter, too. You can also email us directly at
